What you need:
- 1 pound of chunky beef
- 1 minced little onion
- This recipe calls for minced garlic, chopped cabbage, sliced carrots, 4 cups of beef broth, and 2 cups of water.
- An amount of salt and pepper according to personal preference
Instructions:
- To prepare the ground beef, brown it in a big saucepan over medium-high heat. Make crumbles by breaking it up with a spoon. Remove any extra fat from the steak after browning, and then put it aside.
- In the same saucepan, sauté the garlic and onion until they are soft.
- Once the garlic begins to smell good and the onion starts to soften, sauté for another couple of minutes.
Put the Vegetables in the Pot: Chop some cabbage and slice some carrots. Add the garlic and onions and mix well.
After browning the ground beef, add it back to the saucepan and simmer the soup. Blend the beef stock with the water. Once the soup is combined, bring it to a boil and stir occasionally. As soon as it boils, lower the heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until the veggies are soft.
Before serving, add salt and pepper to the soup according to your taste. Spoon the hot soup into bowls as soon as it’s done cooking.
