Air Fryer Beef Jerky

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb thinly sliced beef steak (sirloin steak, round steak)
  • 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional, or add more for spicy jerky)

Directions:

1. Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, mix together Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, honey, onion powder, and chili flakes.

2. Cut the Beef: Slice the beef into thin strips or squares, ensuring even sizes for consistent drying.

3. Marinate the Beef: Place the beef strips into the marinade, ensuring all pieces are thoroughly coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 3 hours or overnight for best flavor.

4. Dry the Beef: Remove the marinated beef from the bowl and pat the strips dry with paper towels.

5. Arrange in Air Fryer: Place the beef strips in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring no pieces overlap.

6. Air Fry: Set the air fryer to 210°F (100°C) and air fry the beef for 2 hours. Check for dryness; if the jerky isn’t fully dehydrated, continue to air fry in 15-20 minute intervals until completely dried out. Ensure the jerky reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).

7. Cool and Store: Once done, allow the jerky to cool completely. Store in an airtight container for freshness.
