Deep Hamburger Sausage & Pepperoni Pie

Ingredients:

I box Pillsbury ready bake pie crust( comes with 2 rolled pie crust)

For the Filling:

  •  2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound Italian sausage (optional)
  • 1 cup pepperoni slices
  • 1 1/2 cups pizza sauce or marinara
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or provolone cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 3 tablespoons of melted butter ( to brush on top crust)

2. Prepare the Filling:

Cook the ground beef and Italian sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat and set aside.

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

3. Assemble the Pizza Pie:

Roll out the dough to fit a deep-dish pie pan or a deep skillet.

Layer the bottom with half of the mozzarella cheese.

Add a layer of cooked ground beef, Italian sausage, and pepperoni.

Pour the pizza sauce evenly over the meat and sprinkle with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes.

Top with the remaining cheese and another layer of pepperoni slices. Top with remaining crust brush with melted butter and garlic powder.

4. Bake the Pizza Pie:

Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
