Chocolate Fudge Brownie Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped

 

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.

2. In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in the sugar until well combined.

3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.

4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.

5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.

6. Fold in the chocolate chips.

7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.

8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.

9. While the brownies are cooling, heat the heavy cream in a saucepan until just about to boil.

10. Remove from heat and add the chopped chocolate, stirring until melted and smooth to create a ganache.

11. Once the brownies are completely cooled, pour the ganache over the top and spread evenly.
